Two Saprissa players are headed to MLS, according to reports out of Costa Rica as confirmed by Marca U.S. correspondent Arch Bell .
Accroding to the reporting Ulises Segura (pictured), a midfielder, will be joining up with D.C. United while defender Julio Cascante will join the Portland Timbers.
BUNDESLIGA CLUBS INTERESTED IN SCHWEINSTEIGER
Chicago Fire midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is fielding interest from Bundesliga clubs, Bild reports.
The World Cup winner only signed on through the end of 2017 after moving from Manchester United to Chicago in March, and the Fire reportedly find themselves fending off interest from teams in Germany as the 33-year-old considers his next step.
NYCFC LOOKING TO LAND JESUS MEDINA
New York City FC is looking to bring in Paraguay international Jesus Medina, The NYCFC Nation reports .
The 20-year-old reportedly told Asuncion’s radio 1080 AM this morning that the MLS side has made an offer for his services.
ORLANDO CHASING JOSUE COLMAN
Orlando City has made a substantial bid for 19-year-old Paraguayan midfielder Josue Colman, according to Futbol a lo Grande .
Cerro Porteno president Juan Jose Zapag reportedly told the Paraguayan radio show an MLS club had made a large bid for the teenager before confirming Orlando as the team in question.
LAFC ON THE VERGE OF THIRD DP
Bob Bradley and LAFC continue to make waves, with Matt Reed, an NBC contributor, claiming that the club is on the verge of landing a third designated player in the form of Francisco Geraldes.
The 22-year-old is owned by Sporting CP, but is out on loan with Rio Ave.
LAFC IN TALKS TO ADD KLJESTAN
Los Angeles FC is in talks with the New York Red Bulls about a potential trade for playmaker Sacha Kljestan, according to Metro .
That deal would see the Southern California native reunited with LAFC’s Bob Bradley, who coached Kljestan in the Los Angeles area at Chivas USA in 2006 and also regularly called him up while in charge of the U.S. national team.
TIMBERS HIRE SAVARESE AS COACH
The Portland Timbers have chosen Giovanni Savarese to replace Caleb Porter as head coach, ESPN reports.
A former Venezuela international, the 46-year-old coach had been in charge of the NASL’s New York Cosmos since 2013. Savarese steps in for Porter, who surprisingly announced his resignation last month after five seasons.
SKC REACHES DEAL FOR FRENCH MIDFIELDER
Sporting Kansas City has agreed to a deal to sign French midfielder Yohan Croizet from Belgian side KV Mechelen, according to Voetbal Belgie .
The 25-year-old, who came up through Metz’s system, would likely play on the left side of the front line in Sporting KC coach Peter Vermes’ 4-3-3 system.
MAN UTD WANTS WHITECAPS TEENAGER
Manchester United has invited Vancouver Whitecaps teenager Alphonso Davies for a trial in January, reports CTV Edmonton .
The 17-year-old midfielder, who became the youngest player to make his debut for the Canada national team in the summer, is waiting for clearance from his club to accept the offer from United.

Atlanta United has signed Newell’s Old Boys defender Franco Escobar, according to Cesar Luis Merlo of TyC Sports .
Gerardo Martino’s side reportedly has purchased Escobar outright, signing the 22-year-old to a three-year contract with options for an additional two seasons.

The LA Galaxy are ready to move forward Gyasi Zardes, according to multiple reports.
